I installed drivers for the same chip on an Asus board just within the last couple days without issue. So I installed R273 and the registry hack worked. Oh and, I would have just used an audio splitter, but the one I have is too narrow for both the headphone jack and the speaker jack. Realtek HD Audio Manager now has an ASUS skin (this happens even when I install drivers straight from Realtek). Now, I have an ASUS Z97-A, with the ALC892. I have a Siberia V1 headset, and it has a very long cable so I would route it through the back and into the black audio port, with speakers in the green one.

Basically, I could remap any port as anything. On my old Intel P43 motherboard with Realtek's ALC888S HD Audio codec, I could open up the HD Audio manager, and configure a Rear Speaker Out port as a headphone port, mic port, etc. So I have an issue that's driving me mad.
